Philly fans are some of the worst fans in sports but I feel the downward spiral with fans at a lot of cities. The violence at Dodgers games, the cursing and yelling at kids at ballparks I've visited over the years and also some of the stuff I've seen by drunk fans at Rangers and Mets games really anger and make me sad at the same time. One of the things that really annoys me is during the National Anthem at Rangers games some idiot always yells Let's Go Rangers during it.
But anyway look what happened at the hockey game down in Philly last night. Just disrespectful.

How did fans become so classless? How has fandom devolved from rooting for your team to just being a total ahole? Is it the betting on sports? Too much alcohol? Or is it something deeper in our society that is going on?
