METS AND NORTHWELL HEALTH ANNOUNCE NEW PARTNERSHIP
FLUSHING, N.Y., MAY 4, 2016 – The New York Mets announced today a partnership with Northwell Health, making the company the official sponsor of every Mets win.
Northwell Health will serve as the presenting partner of the Mr. Met Dash, a Mets Family Sunday favorite in which kids run the bases at Citi Field after every Sunday home game. Northwell will also sponsor a nursing station on the suite level of the ballpark as well as give Northwell Health video recognition and LED takeover after each Mets win.
“The Mets are proud to partner with Northwell Health, New York’s largest health care provider,” said Lou DePaoli, Mets Executive Vice President & Chief Revenue Officer. “We are proud to be partnering with Northwell Health on a variety of healthy lifestyle initiatives such as the Mr. Met Dash, and look forward to our relationship for years to come.”
“We’re excited to be a sponsor of the National League Champion New York Mets,” said Michael Dowling, president and CEO of Northwell Health. “We’re also extremely pleased to be a presenter of the Mr. Met Dash, where kids run the bases after family home games. As New York’s largest health provider, it gives us the opportunity to sponsor an event that shows area youngsters and their parents that exercise is not only important to their health but can also be exciting and fun.”
Northwell Health, previously North-Shore LIJ, is the proud creator of The Katz Institute for Women’s Health, named in honor of Mets owner Saul Katz, a member on the healthcare company’s Board of Trustees. In following the Katz vision, North Shore-LIJ opened a hospital for women of all ages across the New York metropolitan region. The Katz Institute for Women’s Health specializes in women’s healthcare and is dedicated to giving women of all ages the tools, information and support they need to make the healthiest choices in every area of their lives—from the foods they eat to the screenings and treatments they receive.
