[New York, June 15, 2016] SNY – the television home of the New York Mets, Jets and all things New York sports – today announced the return of its fan favorite Kidcaster contest presented by New York’s 529 College Savings Program.  The contest, which has brought viewers a handful of memorable moments since 2009, is open to children between the ages of 8 and 12 and requires entrants to submit a one-minute or less video with an answer to the question: “If you could be one Met for a day who would you be and what would you do?” Ten contestants will be chosen to come to SNY’s street-level studio in Manhattan where they will be audition in front of a panel of SNY judges.  One winner will be chosen to join SNY’s critically acclaimed broadcast team – Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling – for a half-inning during a live Mets game. 

The runner-up in the Kidcaster contest presented by New York’s 529 College Savings Program will appear in an episode of SNY’s Emmy-Award winning Kids Clubhouse.   Other consolation prizes include a VIP Family Experience to a 2016 Mets game as well as SNY prize packs.  The contest runs through July 17, 2016.  For more information on how to enter, visit SNY.tv/Kidcaster.
