Neil Walker Willing to Move to Third Base

From the NY POST
“I have done it in the past,” Walker said before the Mets beat the Pirates, 6-4 at Citi Field. “I’ve played second, first, left and third base in the past — it’s one of those things where I haven’t done it in six years, so I need some time.
“As a player you just want what’s best for the team and I have expressed that, but after that it’s what the organization wants.”
Shifting Walker to third base would allow the Mets to promote Dilson Herrera from Triple-A Las Vegas to play second. Herrera had stints with the Mets in 2014 and ’15.
Walker’s willingness to move is appreciated by manager Terry Collins.
“Right now I think that still might be up in the air, but I applaud Neil for saying that,” Collins said. “This guy has been a second baseman pretty much his whole career and to have him say that in the year that he becomes a free agent takes some real strength.”

Great to hear Walker is saying the right things, I would personally look as Dilson as a trade chip to get a third baseman for the rest of the year.
