TONIGHT'S ATTENDANCE: Tonight's sellout crowd of 42,125 marked the seventh sellout of the 2016 season...The seven sellouts are tied for the most in a single season in Citi Field history...New York had seven sellouts at Citi Field in 2015.



SUBWAY SERIES: With tonight's win, the Mets are 2-7 in their last nine games versus the Yankees dating to May 14, 2014 and 7-13 all-time versus the Yankees at Citi Field.



METSCELLANEOUS: The Mets are 7-10 since the All-Star break...With tonight's loss, the Mets are 2-9 in their last 11 home games and are now 28-26 at Citi Field this season.



EXTRA INNINGS: The Yankees improved to 2-3 in extra-inning contests (2-1 on the road) while the Mets are now 3-3 in extra-inning games (0-2 at home).



ONE-RUN GAMES: The Yankees improved to 18-9 in one-run games this season (9-6 on the road) while the Mets are now 19-15 in one-run decisions (11-9 at home).



METS HOME RUNS: The Mets homered twice in tonight's game and now have 135 home runs on the season...The Mets have now hit 31 home runs in their last 19 home games.



WILMER FLORES: Connected on his 11th home run of the season with a solo shot in the third inning to give the Mets the lead...Was his seventh home run this season off a lefthanded pitcher...The seven home runs off lefty pitching match the most he's hit in a single season off lefty pitching (also had seven such homers in 2015)....Is batting .348 (24-69) vs. lefties this season...Eight of his 11 home runs have come since July 1...The go-ahead homer was his fourth of the season.



MATT REYNOLDS: Hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning that gave the Mets the lead...Was his second home run of the season and second career homer...Both of his home runs have given the Mets the lead (the other came on June 22 vs. Kansas City)...Finished the day 2-4 with a career-high three RBI.



MICHAEL CONFORTO: Doubled off CC Sabathia in the fifth inning...Was his first hit off a lefthanded pitcher since May 11 (off the Dodgers' Adam Liberatore)...Had been 0-for-his-last-21 versus lefties prior to his double tonight.



JUSTIN RUGGIANO: Left tonight's game with a mild strain of the left hamstring.



LOGAN VERRETT: Worked 5.0 innings and allowed three runs, earned, in a no-decision...Struck out two and walked three...Since the All-Star break, Verrett is 0-0 with a 3.86 ERA (10 earned runs/23.1 innings) in four starts.



HANSEL ROBLES: Pitched 1.0 scoreless inning to extend a career-best scoreless streak to 11.2 innings dating to July 4...Since June 21, Robles owns a 1.29 ERA (three earned runs/21.0 innings).



ADDISON REED: Pitched 0.2 innings and allowed one run, earned, on two hits...The run snapped Reeds' career-best 16.1 inning scoreless streak dating to June 25, which was the fifth-longest active scoreless streak in the major leagues.



RECENT YANKEES: The Yankees snapped a four-game losing streak with tonight's win and are 9-6 since July 17.



DIDI GREGORIUS: Delivered a two-run, game-tying single in the eighth inning...Entered the day having gone hitless in consecutive games (July 30 and 31) for the first time since May 29-30 and was 0-for-his-last-11 (including tonight) entering his eighth-inning at-bat.



BRETT GARDNER: Tripled to open the game to extend his hitting streak to five games...Finished the night 2-4 and is batting .303 (60-198) with 31 runs scored, eight doubles, three triples, two home runs and 15 RBI since June 3.



AUSTIN ROMINE: Stole second base in the ninth inning...Was his second career steal and his first since June 3, 2013 vs. Cleveland.



CC SABATHIA: Worked 5.2 innings and allowed five runs, earned, on eight hits in a no-decision...Struck out five and walked three...Allowed two home runs to tie a season-high (third time this year) and has allowed at least one home run in six of his last eight starts (nine homers total)...Is now 1-4 with a 6.85 ERA (36 earned runs/47.1 innings) in his last eight starts, yielding at least four earned runs in seven of the eight starts.



DELLIN BETANCES: Pitched 1.0 scoreless innings for his first save of the season...Was his first save since October 1, 2015 vs. Boston and the 10th save of his career.



TYLER CLIPPARD: Made his first appearance with the Yankees since being acquired in a trade on July 31...Clippard made his major league debut as a member of the Yankees in a start versus the Mets on May 20, 2007 at Shea Stadium.
