One currently unknown potential defendant owns and operates the website “Chi Apparel,” which sells shirts bearing many of the Cubs’ known trademarks as well as names of some of the Cubs’ more popular players.

With the Cubs success on and off the field comes a concern that the franchise and MLB will lose out on receiving revenue from merchandise sold. In fact, the Cubs and MLB have filed a lawsuit against known vendors who are selling unlicensed goods.
