Shannon Forde was a truly awesome person and was always one of my favorite people in the Mets organization. No matter what she was going through health wise she kept a smile on her face and kept her awesome demeanor. I am glad MLB is doing this in memory of her.

A dedicated Mets employee, Forde lost her battle with breast cancer earlier this year and the funds from this auction will help in building a field in her name that will ensure that her legacy lives on forever. By the way. I still have Shannon's number in my phone. I won't erase it because every time I just happen to scroll by it, it puts a smile on my face that I got to meet her.
