MLB: Raising Money To Honor Shannon Forde

Shannon Forde was a truly awesome person and was always one of my favorite people in the Mets organization. No matter what she was going through health wise she kept a smile on her face and kept her awesome demeanor. I am glad MLB is doing this in memory of her.

"Major League Baseball and all 30 Clubs have organized a charity auction benefiting youth baseball and softball in Little Ferry, NJ the hometown of former New York Mets Senior Director of Media Relations Shannon Forde. A dedicated Mets employee, Forde lost her battle with breast cancer earlier this year and the funds from this auction will help in building a field in her name that will ensure that her legacy lives on forever. Bid on more than 100 unique baseball related experiences or memorabilia packages for this worthwhile cause."

Want to bid? Here's the links to the Mets related ones.

By the way. I still have Shannon's number in my phone. I won't erase it because every time I just happen to scroll by it, it puts a smile on my face that I got to meet her.
