NEW YORK METS PITCHER MIKE MENDOZA GAME WORN 1981 SPRING
TRAINING ROAD JERSEY WITH MEARS LOA. This is a TERRIFIC super thick grey knit 2-button
neck style jersey featuring the classic Mets sewn on front in blue material, outlined in orange. Matching
62 sewn below left breast. Reverse features much larger matching sewn 62 with individual matching letters sewn
above on a grey knit plate, MENDOZA. Left sleeve has the round Mets patch sewn on. Thick
orange and blue elastic sewn around the cuffs and collar.
TAGGING: The standard Rawlings tag is sewn on the front right exterior tail area (size 44) with an
additional tag with blue embroidery sewn in the collar: 44 (size) 62 (uniform number) 81 (year 1981).
This jersey is in TERRIFIC shape showing nice use and also appears to be in the same 100% original condition
as worn by Mike Mendoza during spring training in 1981 with the exception of the name on back being perfectly
restored. The plate was restored by the best in the business and reflects the exact same specifications as the
original plate. You'll be hard pressed to find a nicer Mike Mendoza jersey in this Mets road style. If you collect
Mike Mendoza or Mets jerseys , this will make a fine addition to your collection.

Remember that weird thing the Mayor’s Office did where they randomly did a 1986 Parade reenactment and had Gooden come by? Read the NY Times Story to learn more about this. This topic needs to be discussed. Someone put it in front of B&C
The city paid for the event, which had been conceived as a scene for a television series in development, produced by the sports radio host Amy Heart.
