WHAT A MONTH: Conforto is tied for first in the NL in extra-base hits (16) this month, second in runs scored (25), sixth in on-base percentage (.423), tied for fourth in home runs (seven), and tied for seventh in RBI (20).

TYLER PILL: Will make his first major league start tonight...Suffered the loss in relief on Saturday in Pittsburgh in his first major league outing...He turned 27 yesterday...Pill was leading the Pacific Coast League with a 1.96 ERA (10 earned runs/46.0 innings) at the time his contract was selected...He began the year without permitting an earned run in his first 34.1 innings with Binghamton (AA) and Las Vegas...Pill's older brother, Brett, played in 111 games with the San Francisco Giants from 2011-2013.

PAUL SEWALD: Has allowed three runs in his last 20.0 innings (1.35 ERA) and has 23 strikeouts in his last 16.0 innings (12.94 strikeouts per nine innings).

IN THE MINORS: Amed Rosario has a 16-game hitting streak for Las Vegas...Rosario is hitting .356 (26-73) during the streak... Rosario is sixth in the Pacific Coast League with a .354 batting average, second with 73 hits and fifth in total bases (107)... Rosario has 13 doubles, three triples, five homers, 37 RBI and 32 runs scored in 50 games for the 51s.
