Mets Infielder Wilmer Flores will be hosting foster children and their families at select games throughout the season, including Wednesday, July 19 before the Mets take on the St. Louis Cardinals at Citi Field. In addition to meeting Flores, participants will be given a t-shirt, watch batting practice, receive complimentary tickets to the game and food vouchers. The goal of the program is to continue to raise awareness about the thousands of local foster children in need of homes and the opportunity for families to serve as foster parents, adoptive families and mentors.
