SURVIVOR TREE: A Callery pear tree that once stood on the site of the original World Trade Center was nearly destroyed on September 11, 2001...It is now known around the world as the Survivor Tree...Seedlings from this tree have been planted in special locations to create lasting, living memorials to the victims of 9/11, their families, communities and the nation...Tonight, one of these special trees will be planted outside Citi Field in special recognition of Rusty Staub for his tireless work through the Police & Fire Widows' & Children's Benefit Fund.
