Jacob deGrom: Suffered his first loss of the season...Tossed 8.0 innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on four hits while walking two and striking out eight...Was his first outing allowing more than one run since April 16 vs. Washington (allowed three runs)...Was the seventh time this season deGrom has thrown seven or more innings and allowed two or fewer earned runs, tied for the most in the majors with José Berríos.

Yoenis Céspedes: Served as the designated hitter and went 0-2 tonight in his first MLB rehabilitation game with Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League at Trenton...Céspedes has been on the DL since May 14 with a strain of the right hip flexor.

Gleyber Torres: Turned in a multi-hit game (2-3)...Is the youngest Yankee (21 years, 177 days)  with a multi-hit game in the Subway Series...The previous youngest Yankee with a multi-hit game in the Subway Series was Melky Cabrera (21 years, 324 days) on July 1, 2006. 

Masahiro Tanaka: Tossed 5.0 innings of one-run ball in a no-decision...Left tonight’s game due to stiffness in both hamstrings and will be re-evaluated tomorrow...Struck out eight and walked one...Over his last two starts, Tanaka has allowed two runs in 11.0 innings (1.64 ERA)...Scored a run in the sixth, the third run scored by a Yankees pitcher in Subway Series history...The other Yankee pitchers to score a run in the Subway Series game were Luis Severino (August 17, 2017) and CC Sabathia (June 26, 2009).
