Mets Roster moves
FLUSHING, N.Y., June 10, 2018 – The New York Mets after tonight’s game announced that they have given infielder Adrián González his unconditional release. On Tuesday, the Mets will designate catcher Jose Lobaton for assignment, will recall Dominic Smith from Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League, and will select the contract of infielder/outfielder Ty Kelly from Las Vegas.
Smith, 22, was hitting .260 (57-219) with 16 doubles, two home runs, 25 RBI and a .343 on-base percentage in 56 games for the 51s this year. Smith appeared in two games with the Mets earlier this year and went 0-1.
Smith hit nine homers with six doubles, 26 RBI while batting .198 (33-167) in 49 games for the Mets in 2017.
Kelly, 29, was hitting .262 (53-202) with 12 doubles, four triples, six homers, 29 RBI and a .346 on-base percentage in 60 games for the 51s.
The 6-0, 185-pounder has hit .211 (31-147) with eight doubles, three home runs and 21 RBI in 109 career major league games with the Mets and Phillies.
González, 36, hit .237 (40-169) with five doubles, six homers and 26 RBI in 54 games for the Mets this year.

And yet, Jose Reyes is still a Met even after the "neighborhood" play last night.
