“He kind of wanted us to develop an identity as a group, like these guys are the guys who are going to do things the right way, they are going to get the job done. They are going to execute, hustle and play the game the right way. He was asking that of us, to try, as bad as things are right now, try to go out there and have fun and play like a kid.”
Looks like Mickey has his eyes on the younger guys on the Mets team. Does this mean all of them will be sticking around? I don't think so, but it is nice to see he is trying to get them to step up and be leaders and maybe this is going to be a foundation that helps the Mets achieve "Better" in the future.
