Mets: New York has thrown consecutive shutouts for the first time since August 11-12, 2015 vs. Colorado...The Mets are 14-8 in their last 22 games, 14-11 in August and 14-13 in their last 27 home games.
• New York has blanked the Nationals in consecutive games for the third time since the team moved to Washington (12th time overall, last done on October 4, 2015 and May 17, 2016).
• Marks the first home series win over Washington since September 2-4, 2016.
• The Mets lead the season series vs. Washington, 8-6...Have not won the season series since 2015, when New York went 11-8 against the Nationals.
• The Mets are 26-23 since July 1.
