Jay Horowitz gets a new job within the Mets organization. No, it’s not the GM spot.


He’s been with the team for almost 40 years. The Mets made a Bobblehead for him. You have rarely, if ever, heard a bad word about him publicly. Now he’s moving jobs. Jay Horowitz is moving from PR to Alumni relations.
Longtime Mets vice president of media relations Jay Horwitz — an institution in his 39th year with the club — is moving to a new gig with the Amazin’s. He will be in charge of alumni relations, with the team making an official announcement Wednesday.

I wonder what this job is going entail. I also wonder who is going to be put into his old job.
