This is a simply PERFECT black knit button down jersey featuring the classic Mets sewn on front in blue material, outlined in white and orange (Velcro between the M and e). Matching 29 sewn below left breast. Reverse features much larger matching sewn 29 with individual matching letters sewn above, TRACHSEL. Above, the MLB logo patch covers over with the American flag patch. Left sleeve has the the traditional Met's round patch sewn on with the Rawlings logo embroidered below in blue with the American flag embroidery with silver 9-11-01 embroidered in the middle. Thin blue trim sewn around the cuffs and front.
The Mets modified their jerseys after the Twin Towers tragedy in NYC by adding the flag patch over the MLB logo on back and also embroidering 9-11-01 on the right sleeve.
This jersey is in PERFECT shape showing solid use and also appears to be in the same 100% original condition as worn by Trachsel at Shea during the 2001 season and more importantly, after the 9-11 tragedy.
