Ed is going to be at the QBC on Jan 19th(next week) and we can't thank him enough for coming. If you remember the QBC held a special pop up Ed Kranepool event in 2018 to help raise money for him. Hopefully Ed can find another match or his friend gets better.
From the NY POST:
Ed Kranepool is behind in the count once again in his search for a kidney. The Miracle Met, though, continues to hope and dream for the best.Read more at the NY POST
He was set for a kidney transplant in early January with a longtime friend being the donor, but plans fell through because of a health issue with the donor. The search continues.
The 74-year-old Kranepool endures with a thankful heart despite the setback.
“You have to keep positive, because what’s the alternative?’’ Kranepool said Wednesday at Citi Field as he stood in front of the ’69 Mets World Series trophy. He was there with former teammate Art Shamsky to kick off festivities for the 50th anniversary season of those Amazin’ Mets.
“There’s no reason to give up,’’ Kranepool said. “Life is fun. Life is good. I’ll be doing a lot of work whether I get one or not, get a lot of visibility for organ donors. You try to give back. Take one day at a time.’’
True to his word, Kranepool later met with fans who were at Citi Field for a blood drive.
I for one can't wait to see Ed at the QBC.
