“Everything looked the same for me,” Familia said. “I know I am not having the season that I want to have, but every time I go out there I am trying to make my pitch and get my job done, so there is nothing I can do.”
In his Saturday appearance, Familia allowed three earned runs over two-thirds of an inning. He and Robert Gsellman squandered a four-run lead in a game the Mets lost in extra innings.
The right-hander, who is 2-0 with a 6.56 ERA in 24 appearances this season, has played a role in the Mets’ last two bullpen meltdowns: On Wednesday he allowed a homer to Corey Seager as part of the Dodgers’ comeback that culminated with four runs scored against Edwin Diaz in a walk-off loss.Read more here.
