WHAT IS VIRTUAL BANNER DAY?
A long-time Mets tradition originating in 1963, Banner Day provides Mets fans an opportunity to showcase their creativity and fandom. We’re bringing Banner Day into the modern era with an online competition. All banners submitted will be reviewed by the Virtual Banner Day committee and the winner will be chosen by you, the fans! The winner will receive a special prize and recognition.
Contest Timeline:
Banner submission period: Monday, July 26, 12:00 pm ET to Sunday, August 8, 11:59 pm ET
Top 20 banners are announced: Wednesday, August 11
Fan voting period on Mets.com: Thursday, August 12, 12:00 pm ET to Friday, August 20, 11:59 pm ET
Winning banner announced: August 26
Prize:
- Four (4) tickets to a 2021 Mets home game on a mutually agreed upon date
- One (1) Pete Alonso autographed baseball
- One (1) private tour of Citi Field in 2022 for four (4) people on a mutually agreed upon date
- Four (4) tickets to a 2022 Mets home game on a mutually agreed upon date
