LIMITED VIP SEATING AVAILABLE

QBC 2021 Question.

If we were able to offer a special VIP package of reserved seating for four, four Gary Cohen/Ron Darling autograph tickets, four Todd Frazier autograph tickets, inscriptions, you can take photos with you camera/phone with them and jump the line to meet them first, would you want it?

"Sounds good...but let's talk price."

You're right we'd have to give a good price on it. Let's do the Math.

$25 Admission x 4=                      $100
$75 Gary/Ron Combo Auto x4=   $300
$25 Todd Frazier x 4=                   $100
$10 inscriptions x 8=                     $80
$40 inscriptions x4 =                     $160
$25 photo ops x 4=                        $100
$25 Skip the line pass x 4=           $100
                                                    _______
                                           Total =$940

Divide that by four and that is $235 a person.

I think a fair price for all that might be $175 per person for $700 for the table. What do you guys think about that? No?

Okay. I'll make a deal with you. Don't tell Dan that I am doing this but if you buy a whole table, I'll do the package at $500. So if you buy a a full table you can have the whole package for $500.

If you want to buy this as a 2 ticket VIP Package we can do this for $350 for two people.

We aren't going to put this up on Eventbrite so email us if interested.

Email QBC2016@gmail.com to for inquiries or to buy this package.

QBC Announces COVID Protocols for 2021 Event

September 20, 2021 – With the first live Queens Baseball Convention in almost 2 years now less than eight weeks away, organizers today announced protocols that will be put in place for the Nov. 13th event.

“While we all wish we could go back to how we hosted the QBC pre-pandemic, we have to live with the reality that things have changed. We want to provide both a fun and safe experience for everyone who comes out to Mulcahy’s in November” stated co- founder Dan Twohig.

The protocols that will be put in place are as follows:
• All attendees (paid attendees, guests, vendors, and volunteers) must be EITHER fully vaccinated OR if not vaccinated, must

present proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the QBC start time, or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 6 hours of the start time. This includes guests under 12 who are not yet eligible for a vaccine

“Fully vaccinated” means the guest must have received the second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or their first does of a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine (J&J) no later than September 30th

Proof of vaccination must be presented in one of the following manners:

  • ▪  ACDCvaccinationrecordcard

  • ▪  Arecordofvaccinationfromthehealthcareproviderwhoadministeredthevaccine, alongwitha government-issued or official document bearing the name of the individual and a photo or date of birth matching the name on the COVID-19 vaccination documentation

  • ▪  PrintedCOVID-19vaccinationdocumentationoraclearphotoofdocumentationdisplayedonyouriPhone or Android phone will be accepted

  • ▪  NYCCOVIDSafePass,NewYorkStateExcelsiorPass,orEUDigitalPassportwillalsobeaccepted • All attendees must wear masks while inside the venue, except while eating or drinking in designated areas
    • Guests who fail to comply with these protocols will not be admitted into the QBC, or will be asked to leave

We are still in a pandemic,” said Twohig’s partner Keith Blacknick, “but given these safety measures we can still gather together as Mets fans to celebrate the blue and orange. Of course if things change prior to the QBC we can and will adjust as needed.”

    The State of the Mets

The one panel that has been with all the live QBCs and heck, even the virtual one from earlier this year. Mark has put together another stellar panel this year with Lori Rubinson From WFAN , Tim Healey from Newsday, and Tim Ryder from The Apple.

Queens Baseball Convention Announces Shannon Forde as the 2021 Recipient of the Gil Hodges Unforgettable Fire Award

September 22, 2021 – Organizers of the Queens Baseball Convention revealed today that former New York Mets Senior Director of Media Relations Shannon Forde will be the recipient of the 2021 Gil Hodges Unforgettable Fire Award to be presented at 2021 QBC on November 13th.

Forde tragically passed away from breast cancer in 2016 at the age of 44.

A pioneer for women in baseball, Forde rose through the ranks in the Mets media department where she had worked for 22 years, establishing connections with players, reporters, and executives across all of baseball.

Her love of the Mets, and her love of baseball, was evident in everything she did throughout her career, from shepherding green- eyed rookies around Shea and CitiField, to running the 2013 All-Star Game, to being the point person on numerous charity endeavors (including Tuesdays Children after 9/11).

Forde was also instrumental in getting the Mets media department to recognize non-traditional media outlets such as bloggers and independent websites.

Without Shannon, there may not have been a QBC” stated co-founder Keith Blacknick. We were part of the extended Mets community and Shannon always treated us as such. She helped us establish our credibility and we will always be indebted to her for that.

The Gil Hodges Unforgettable Fire Award was established in 2014 in cooperation with the Hodges family. Presented annually to a person whose memory eternally warms our hearts, brightens our spirits and lights our way, as well as brings together the best elements of sportsmanship and humanity. Past recipients have included Gil Hodges, Tom Seaver, Ed Charles, Bud Harrelson, Bobby Valentine, and David Wright.

A member of Fordes family will be accepting on her behalf at the 2021 QBC to be held on Nov. 13th at Mulcahys Pub & Concert Hall. Tickets are expected to go on sale later this week.

There will also be vendors, mascots, and more.
