While Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association continue to negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement, MLB has notified the Clubs that it is no longer possible to play the regular season games originally scheduled for March 31-April 5, 2022. Accordingly, Mets Opening Day originally scheduled for March 31 has been postponed and our April 2-5 homestand has been cancelled.
Like you, we are disappointed that we are not able to start our season as scheduled and apologize for any inconvenience this causes you. MLB is working to get the game back on the field as quickly as possible.
While we have no further information as to when the season may begin, we wanted to share the following information regarding your ticket purchase for Opening Day and/or the April 2-5 games against the
MARCH 31/OPENING DAY TICKET INFORMATION
If you purchased tickets to the game originally scheduled for March 31, your tickets marked March 31 will be valid for admission to the first ticketed 2022 regular season home game at Citi Field. Details including the rescheduled date and time of Mets Opening Day will be communicated at a later date. Tickets previously distributed for the game that becomes the first ticketed 2022 regular season Mets home game will not be valid for admission and will be treated under the 2022 ticket policy for impacted games.
APRIL 2-5 TICKET CREDIT/REFUND INFORMATION
All ticket management actions for tickets for these games, including Ticket Forwarding, will be cancelled. These tickets will be removed from your account and are no longer valid for admission. Fans who purchased single game tickets via Mets.com or 718-507-TIXX for any April 2-5 impacted games will receive credit for all payments made toward these games. Credit is valid toward tickets to 2022 or 2023 ticketed regular season home games at Citi Field (subject to availability; blackout dates may apply).
Accounts that wish to receive a refund instead of a credit for tickets to any April 2-5 impacted games can submit an online request via their My Mets Tickets account beginning on Thursday, March 3 at 10 a.m. Refund requests for impacted games can be submitted until October 31, 2022.
