Mets Rained out. Game Rescheduled

 

FLUSHING, N.Y., May 20, 2023 — The New York Mets have announced that today’s game against the Cleveland Guardians has been postponed due to rain. The teams will play a split-admission doubleheader on Sunday, May 21 with game one scheduled to begin at 1:40 p.m. and game two scheduled for 7:10 p.m. Citi Field parking lots will open at 10:40 a.m. and gates for game one will open at 11:40 a.m. Gates for game two will not open before 6:10 p.m.

Today’s Francisco Lindor Grass Growing Bobblehead presented by Northwell Health giveaway will now take place on game one of the tomorrow’s doubleheader for the first 15,000 fans attending the 1:40 p.m. game.

Fans holding paid tickets for the game originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, May 20, 2023 may use them for the rescheduled game on Sunday, May 21 at 1:40 p.m.

Season Ticket Members may exchange their May 20 tickets for a 2023 regular season game at Citi Field (excluding June 13–14 Subway Series vs. Yankees), subject to availability, up until May 21 at 10:00 a.m.

Following the conclusion game one of tomorrow’s doubleheader, fans holding a paid ticket valid for entry to today’s game who do not attend the makeup game will receive a digital voucher in their My Mets Tickets account (accessible Monday by clicking the Vouchers tab) that may be exchanged for a ticket comparable in price and location to another Mets 2023 regular season home game at Citi Field (excluding the June 3 Mets Hall of Fame Ceremony and the June 13–14 Subway Series vs. Yankees), subject to availability.

Prepaid parking will be valid for admission to game one of tomorrow’s doubleheader at 1:40 p.m. Ticket holders for today’s game with a prepaid parking pass who do not attend tomorrow’s makeup game will automatically receive a voucher redeemable for a new prepaid parking pass in their My Mets Tickets account.

Complimentary tickets to tonight’s game and those marked “NO RAINCHECK” have no value and do not constitute a rain check. However, these tickets are valid for admission for the first game of tomorrow’s doubleheader at 1:40 p.m.

Tomorrow’s 1:40 p.m. game will be aired on WPIX, while the 7:10 p.m. game will be aired on ESPN.
