Special Report about a QBC Guest

Sorry guys to use that heading but I had no other brain capacity to think of another way of wording it. I’ll get to the short of it. Because of the time of year travel wise Art Shamsky might not make it in person to accept the Gil Hodges Unforgettable Fire Award. Believe it or not Art is 83 years old. Right I never picture him being that age. It’s getting tougher and tougher for him to deal with the airports and also the colder weather up north here and he doesn’t know if he can pull it off. He still might but as for now we will still present the award to Art and someone from his camp will accept it or fingers cross he can come. We’ll keep everyone updated.

For the VIP blue table that had the exclusive meet and greet and exclusive auto, we’ll have something to replace that for you.

Thanks for understanding.

6 VIP oranger tickets left. Various other packages still available at Queensbaseballconvention.com

Six Orange VIP tix left. QBC 2024 Info and Ticket Prices

Turk Wendell, Gregg Jefferies, Ray Knight, Jose Reyes(provided exclusively by Coach's Collectibles) will all be doing panels and signings. SNY is bringing in two panels.
There are less than 6 Orange VIP tickets left for QBC 2024.
We have been getting asked where is the General Admission ticket that doesn't have any autographs attached to it. There isn't one but there is a reason for it. The General Admission Price was going to be $74.99 plus tax and fees with or without the Turk Auto. Dan and Keith wanted to take the sting out of that price a bit buy throwing in the Turk auto as a bonus. We always like to preface the pricing with we don't make money on the QBC. Our whole goal is to make sure we don't lose money and have to go into our own pockets to pay for these events. We do this for our fellow Mets fans as a labor of love. If we make money we put it right back into the QBC bank account for the next event. We keep trying to make each event better than the last and this is our business model.
Again we have less than 6 of the Orange VIP packages left and we want to let you know that's the best value we have after the sold out Blue VIP Tables. I would grab those if I was buying tickets.
You need to buy a ticket package to enter QBC. These these ticket packages contain admission to QBC and one autograph from one of the players. You can purchase additional autograph tickets for the players separately.

Forget what you read above from Lids.com. This a hat from the 452 universe. Yes this where the Wilpons moved the Mets to Pittsburgh in 2008 because they didn’t get a new stadium. The Mets then did a throwback hat to their old logo in Pitt colors.

AMAZIN’ METS FOUNDATION, NYC PARKS, AND LANDTEK RENOVATE FIELD #1 AT JUNIPER VALLEY PARK

AMAZIN’ METS FOUNDATION, NYC PARKS, AND LANDTEK RENOVATE FIELD #1 AT JUNIPER VALLEY PARK

Amazin’ Mets Foundation contributes over $430,000 to transform the field for the community

FLUSHING, N.Y., November 7, 2024 – The Amazin’ Mets Foundation contributed over $430,000 to renovate Field #1 at Juniper Valley Park in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. The LandTek Group led the renovations.

The renovations compliment the Amazin’ Mets Foundation’s commitment to supporting youth baseball initiatives, including Sandlot Stars and baseball and softball clinics. The Amazin’ Mets Foundation has supported several neighborhood field renovations, including Flushing Meadows Corona Park Fields #10 and #11.

“The Amazin’ Mets Foundation is committed to expanding access to the sport of baseball. This is about more than updating infrastructure – it’s about supporting our neighbors and creating opportunities to play and grow,” said Alex Cohen, President of the Amazin’ Mets Foundation. “We are proud to sponsor the renovation of Field #1 at Juniper Valley Park.”

Led by The LandTek Group, construction was completed in October 2024. Enhancements to Field #1 feature installation of a new irrigation and drainage system, a full infield renovation, and the addition of new fencing and concrete work.

“These refurbished baseball and softball fields at Flushing Meadows Corona Park and Juniper Valley Park provide the perfect place for our young Queens athletes to pitch, slide, bat, and root each other on while playing the sport they love,” saidNYC Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue. “Thank you to the Amazin’ Mets Foundation for funding these projects, and providing updated space where ballplayers can build community, practice teamwork, and build character through competition and fun on the field of play.”

Since its inception in 2021, the Amazin’ Mets Foundation has funded over $13 million in grants to over 180 organizations in the community, including the communities surrounding affiliate teams. To read more about the Amazin’ Mets Foundation, its programs, and upcoming events, and to learn about ways to give back, visit AmazinMetsFoundation.org.

My Mets Fan rant of the day!

This is just me going on a rant about a few things with Mets fans. Stop counting the owner’s money. I don’t care how rich or how poor the Cohen’s are. Let them spend their money how they see fit. They brought in the baseball folks that they trust to build the team to be a winner. Last season was supposed to be a wash and they still were able to get one step away from the World Series.

You folks don’t really know what goes on behind the scenes and what players should get offered what money and who should play where. I am in Mets fan groups to help push the QBC and I have to tell you, I have no idea how some of these folks can tie their shoes in the morning. I feel like they have to wear slip ons to be able to leave their homes.

“We”. There is no we. “We need to get this player”. “We need to move so and so to this part of the lineup.” “We need to have better food choices in tge clubhouse.” Unless you play for the team, work in baseball operations, work for the organization, or are an owner there is no we. It’s the Mets. You should be saying the Mets should do this. The Mets should do that. Not “We”. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves when I hear anyone talk about a sports team. You don’t say it when you talk about film franchises just because you buy tickets to movies and maybe own some merch. Please stop it.

Anyway if you want to discuss this further with me, WE can do the at the QueensBaseballConvention.com on December 7th. Less than 10 Orange VIP seats left!
